Play and create text adventure games

Remember the classic text-based adventure game Zork? It's OK if you don't. It was one of the first computer games ever developed. But even without graphics or sound, it was still fun!

Well, text-based adventure games are coming back thanks to Playfic. It's a new online platform for writing and playing entertaining, interactive stories.

There are a couple short games already on the site you can play, and several in-depth tutorials to help you build your own adventures. If you like a game already on the site, use the source code as a guide for creating your own adventures.

The service is free, but you'll have to log in using an email address before you can start creating.
