Make money with a video blog

QUESTION

I am looking for a creative way to pay for my flight training. I am considering starting a website with a video blog of my experiences and using advertisements. Do you know of any webcams and software specifically for video blogging? Also, what would be a reasonable amount of money to expect from advertising?

ANSWER

What a creative way to earn extra cash! We've all heard stories of bloggers making big bucks. Some of the most successful blogs reportedly bring in more than a $1 million a year.

You probably won't see checks anywhere near that amount, of course. In fact, I wouldn't expect it to fully cover your pilot's license for quite a while.

Still, every extra bit helps.
