Save the planet

The world is faced with impending ecological devastation, and only you can prevent it! Race against the clock and the elements to avert certain disaster and save the planet...

...the planet Helios that is. That's the setting for PowerUp, a free action-strategy game from IBM and the New York Hall of Science. It's designed for children ages 8 and older, but even adults may find it addicting.

Explore the immersive 3D environment and work with other players online to solve the energy crisis. The game boasts a fun dune-buggy feature, as well as challenging puzzles and in-game learning experiences.

This is an online game, but no personal information is asked for and there is no in-game chat feature, so your kids will be safe.

Cost: Free
Systems: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Mac OSX
